Wenatchee/East WenatChee

City Council gives green light to Gateway Project - The East Wenatchee City Council voted to move forward with the project to develop a community plaza and gateway into downtown East Wenatchee.

City event will test improvements to dangerous intersection - The City of Wenatchee is hosting an event September 26-27th to test out possible improvements to the intersection at Washington St, King St, and S Buchanan Ave. as well as the vacating of Washington Street between Orondo Ave and King St in order to develop a public plaza. 

EVENT: Arlberg Blood Sweat & Beers Ride - Join  local bike shops, Wenatchee Valley Brewing, Wenatchee Valley Velo and Central Washington EMBA for a work party, bike ride and dinner. 

Chelan

Community collaborates on new Chelan River Trail - A new 2.3 mile trail is being developed by the Lake Chelan Trails Alliance, the City of Chelan and the PUD. 

Woodin Avenue Bridge Delayed - The project will convert the two-way bridge into a one-way bridge with a bike lane and wider sidewalk. Construction has been delayed until Fall and it will be complete next spring. 

Upper Valley

Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort awarded a bronze bicycle friendly business designation from the League of American Bicyclists. Check out their announcement on Facebook.
