Bike Education, Organization Updates & Events
Bob and Jana gave a recap of the Earth Day Fair at Pybus on April 20th. Bob, Nicole and Todd had an RBAC table. Plug in NCW had e-bikes that they set up with the Foothills Middle School bikes and there was a lot of interest in the e-bikes. Jana shared that they counted 670 attendees and that next year will be even bigger (50th anniversary of earth day).
Bike Month Events: Nicole shared a draft of a blog post/news release about bike month and the new Bike Buddies program. The news release has led to it being shared on the radio and on the Wenatchee Chamber website/social media.

Agency Project Updates
WSDOT SR 285 Bridge Study
The City received $700,000 Complete Streets grant and will use part of the money to build the Eliot Street path connection between 2nd and 3rd and $50,000 for bike improvements (Signal detection, pavement markings, bike parking).
Gateway Project currently under construction
Highline roundabout at 3rd street
Safe routes to school project on 5th street - Grover to Kentucky rated highly and could receive funding. It includes bike and pedestrian improvements.
35th street closed for construction right now
Grant Street delayed
4th street bike and ped improvements in progress
Jennifer is meeting with new Law and Justice building planners to discuss bike parking at the new building. Also looking at bike parking at the other Douglas County Loop Trail trailheads.
Lake Chelan Valley Bike Plan Meeting this Wednesday, May 8th from 4-6 in Manson
CDTC hired new planner to replace David Fletcher who will start July 1st. He is moving from Utah.
Euclid Trail extension complete (or nearly complete?)
We discussed different types of racks, issues with siting, snow removal, types of bikes, etc.
Ideas to include in the needs list assessment:
· Recommendations for placement and # of racks for building type (schools, offices, etc.)
· Recommendations on different types of racks
· Look at popular transit stops (Mission/Wenatchee World, Maiden Lane, Circle K)
· Castle Rock trailhead
· Complete and review draft
· Review drafts, outreach/discussion with businesses, implementation/costs of bike parking
